The Friends of Two Creeks was formed in 1992 in response to significant funding cutbacks facing conservation authorities. This volunteer group assumed management responsibilities for the Two Creeks Conservation area with the goals of raising awareness of and preserving the 85 acre site.
In 2003, the Friends of Two Creeks became a non-profit organization and the name was changed to Wheatley Two Creeks Association. In 2012, Revenue Canada recogized the association as a charitable organization. It is now able to give tax receipts. Our mandate is to address the conservation, recreation and cultural needs of the Wheatley area, with an emphasis on youth, while maintaining the unique flora and fauna of our Carolinian forest.
Association meetings, open to all, are held monthly at the Wheatley Legion. Join us at 7 pm on the first Thursday of each month. The Annual General Meeting is held in March.
